For the squeezed string (closed and open) based on the oscillator formalism, we show (i) that all real numbers are allowed for eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian and (ii) neither the Virasoro conditions nor the physical condition in the Becchi-Rouet-Stora formalism eliminate negative-norm states.
